Walking in the woods, I smell something burning. Could it be aliens?

I like ice cream and cake. Doesn’t everybody? But my stomach says not so fast! Everything in moderation.

Waves crash on the beach. Nothing washed up, except seaweed. Fish are jumping, you know how I feel; and I’m feeling good.

There was lipstick on his pants. Guess she kissed him where she missed him. Only a graveyard howl can do it justice.

Point me in the right direction, then let me go, go, go. I don’t know about you, but I know how I feel, and it’s not good.

Riding on a fire truck, siren wailing, horn blowing. Is it close, or is it far? If they know, they’re not telling.

Trust

Start to see a difference,

How you talk and walk.

You have an honest opinion,

But you don’t let it become a fault.

You fight for those who have no voice.

You encourage those who are humble.

You defend the rights and blessings

That come with living in our country.

Only you know how hard it’s been.

And I know you’ve stumbled.

I know you got lost sometimes.

But I won’t hold that against you,

Because I understand your heart

Is in the right place.

Your mind is not full of litter.

Your body is clean as a temple.

I trust you with being in charge.

And I know you are a great leader.

I’ll support you, in thick and thin.

I’ll pray for your health and wisdom.

I can rest easy

Knowing you’re at the helm.

Thank you for earning my trust!

Without Love

Climbing a hill to get out of the city,

Not in shape, so it’s not pretty.

Will you try to meet me there?

I don’t care that you don’t care.

I just want to talk to you

About some stuff that I’ve been through.

Can you see the ending near?

Can you tell I’m full of fear?

If only once I meet another,

Someone I can call my brother.

Maybe we can spend some time

Listening and making rhymes.

Maybe we can find a way

Out of here. No, we won’t stay.

Let’s combine our talents now.

You and I can make a vow.

Never leave each other alone,

Without love you cannot write a song.
