Every day
We find our rhythm
In much the same routine.
Sometimes
We meet different people
That color our lives
With dignity and love,
And leave a lasting impression.
These instances are rare.
Usually,
We go round in circles,
Making our indentation
In life, the world and time.
Like a beautiful sea shell
We become a treasure
Through our experiences,
Our relationships,
And our gifts.

We do feel comfortable in our little ruts, and hopefully, they are beautiful.
Well, I hope so. With an eternal perspective that understands us inside and out, one would see that we are beautiful. But believe me, I also understand that we cannot be blamed for being quite cynical about it all occassionally. 🙂
That was wonderful I love the line “We become a treasure”:
Have a great week. 🙂 E
Thank you. I’m glad you like that line. I thought about it later and had second thoughts, since a treasure can also be something stolen. But that’s not how I meant it. Just something wonderful. Thanks again.
A touching equation solved and resolved nicely.
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate the compliments. I’m glad you found it touching, too.
Love the metaphor here!
Thanks, Laurie. That was my main goal. Interesting reading life as a seashell!
Going in circles, I thought this was going to be in a minor key. Nice to see the ‘treasures’ Cheers.
insightful.
lovely take.
growth is visible via life span.
smart magpie tale.
keep it up.
🙂
Thank you for both. I appreciate the compliments.
So true I am in a rut right now
well, rut’s aren’t so bad. at least you have stability. that’s something to be thankful for. but I understand that a rut can seem to hold us back. I’m not one for growth upon growth, though. I’m just glad to have no drama. I guess it just depends on your perspective. 🙂
