Snow

Sad songs sing from my soul.

The deepest chasm, I fall down into.

The longest, loudest sigh erupts from my mouth.

Quiet, calm, caress smoothly, soft as a prayer.

To latch onto, to cling, to grab, to hoist.

Oh, to be released from shame. To be free again.

Close, capture, cover, envelop, help, realize.

Move upwards into the sky, through the clouds,

Resting on a mountain top of snow.

A Parade of Questions

Spinning in a circle,

I dance among the flowers.

The trees keep me company.

I am a lost soul in waiting.

Waiting for a secret

To be revealed.

Waiting for a mystery

To be solved.

A revelation of spirit.

A conquest of time.

A bit of the eternal

Wrapped around my mind.

So, will you go with me

Into the darkness

To look for the light?

Can you bear with all

My tired shortcomings?

My little temper?

My impatience?

My high expectations?

My idealism?

All these things

Are working against me.

But there is time,

And there is a place

For everything

In its season.

So let us begin!
