Wrong

Wrong is what authorities disagree with.

Wrong is what those in power don’t want you to do.

Wrong might be the right thing to do in the long run, but now it is punishable because of who makes the rules.

Wrong is what the police will arrest you for.

Wrong is what your parents are ashamed of.

Wrong is what hurts those you love.

Wrong is kind of confusing sometimes.

Sometimes wrong seems right.

Sometimes what’s wrong for some is right for others.

Some would say the way things are is wrong.

Some say the authorities are wrong, the police are wrong, and your parents are wrong.

Then, who’s right about what’s wrong?

Connection

Sadness creeps up the wall

That you have painstakingly

Constructed around you.

Grief builds.

A crack of anger emerges.

Will you be alone forever?

A hot-air balloon rises out of the valley,

And up past your window.

Past swells into present into future.

There is someone else in your world.

There are others who care about you.

The phone rings, the doorbell chimes.

The clock ticks.

Time keeps you company.

Your destiny arrives.

You exist for a reason.

Someone needs your presence.

Join the motion around you.

Feel the connection.
