Come through the twists and turns,
Out of the darkness and the howling moon.
Come inside to be comfortable,
To belong, to be welcome.
You have a future where
You have a good place.
We will love you and give to you
All that you need and desire.
We will help you find in this world
The key to fulfillment and success.
You will realize that this world
Is not as scary as it seems.
You will find that someone cares,
Someone loves you,
And all is not lost,
Not by any means.
Poetic Asides

Gordon, this is lovely. I have had a busy week and have fallen behind on my reading as well as responding to prompts. I did write one poem today that fulfilled two prompts…but I have some other thoughts swirling in my head that I must get written down…in the meantime, I’m doing something I don’t usually like to do: reading others’ responses to prompts before I’ve written mine. And this one…I found very encouraging…especially these lines:
You will find that someone cares,
Someone loves you,
And all is not lost,
Not by any means.
…if you read my poem from today, you’ll understand.
blessings,
Paula
Paula,
Thanks for commenting, and I’m glad you like my poem. Sorry to hear about your loss, and how you are feeling. I hope things get better for you soon. I’m glad you are reading, there is nothing wrong with that. I’m sure you will get back to writing soon enough. 🙂

Comforting poem. Seems like it could be a song, something the elves would sing to Frodo or something. 🙂
Hey, pixie! welcome back! i didn’t think you were still following my blog after all this time. it’s good to hear from you. and it’s just like you to imagine a fantasy story. 🙂 This was meant as a welcome poem, so Frodo, or any of his new friends, could relate. thank you for your interpretation. And come back soon!

Hey, Gordon, I miss Florida already. It is sooo cold here in Minnesota! Great poems. Keep up the good work.
